Have you ever found your mind wondering into the unknown? Tried to bring your mind back on your own but not sure how? This list originated from my Pastor and I thought it would be worth the share here…
Start your day with Scripture before screens. | Even five (5) minutes in the Word before checking your phone can reset your focus.
|---|---|---|
Pray short “reset prayers” throughout the day. | When your mind drifts, whisper: “Lord, set my heart on you again.”
Memorize a verse for the week. | Let it “loop” in your thoughts – turning Scripture into a soundtrack.
Use worship as a mindset shift. | Play one Christ-centered song during your commute or while doing chores.
Fast from negative-input. | Limit news, social media or entertainment that feeds worry, anger, lust, greed or envy.
Journal God’s goodness. | Write one line each night: “Today I saw God’s hand in…”
Practice gratitude outloud. | Thank God for three (3) things each morning and tell someone else about them.
Surround yourself with reminders. | A sticky-note on your mirror, a phone background with a verse, or a cross necklace can nudge your focus back to Christ.
Ask Christ-centered questions in conversations. | Instead of only “How was your day?” try, “Where did you see God at work today?”
Serve someone intentionally. | Acts of kindness reset your focus away from self and toward Christ.
